Crystal Tamar says she was “very shy and timid” as a child performer. She opened up more as an adult, and she radiates a sunny warmth in person. But that reserved kid is still part of who she is today.
“Even in between performances, my energy would be so depleted that when I’d go back home, I would go in my room, close the door and play with my Barbies all night,” she says.
